Ileana Says 'Bye' To Vijay-Jeeva

Everything is progressing faster than before with Shankar’s ‘Nanban’. Right from Day 1, there hasn’t been any delays over shooting schedule. It looks like the film will be wrapped up earliest before New Year 2012.

Recently the scenes involving Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana and Sathyaraj were shot in Chennai while Vijay was busy with ‘Velayudham’. Now he is finally back to ‘Nanban’ joining together with Jeeva and Srikanth.

These are some of the scenes that will have the trio rocking together while Ileana has left to Mumbai for the shooting of her Hindi debut movie ‘Barfee’.

Vijay’s next is a mass entertainer

Director Ameer, who is currently busy with Aadhi Bhagwan, is all set to begin the groundwork for his next venture. This time around he has roped in Illayathalapathi Vijay to play the protagonist in his film.
The film is titled Kannabiran. The script is designed to suit Vijay’s mass image it is revealed.
Director Ameer who has worked with top actors like Suriya, Karthi, Jiiva has now managed to convince Vijay for his latest venture.

இந்நிலையில், பொன்னியின் செல்வன் கதையில் உள்ள சில முக்கியமான திருப்பங்களும், சம்பவங்களும், ராணாவில் இடம் பெற்றிருப்பதாக தெரியவந்தது இயக்குநர் மணிக்கு. இதனால் ராணா ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் மணி சார் இயக்கத்தில் படம் வெளி வர குறைந்தது 2 ஆண்டுகள் மேல் ஆகும் என்பதாலும் பொன்னியின் செல்வன் கைவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. படம் கைவிடப்பட்டது குறித்து, ஆயிரமாயிரம் கற்பனைக் கதைகள் நாள்தோறும் வெளிவந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையில், இந்த படத்திற்கு தேர்வு செய்த நட்சத்திரங்களை வைத்து அடுத்து படம் இயக்குவதற்காக முயற்சியில் இருக்கிறார் மணிரத்னம்.

இலங்கையில் அப்பாவி தமிழர்களை கொன்று குவித்து போர்க்குற்றம் புரிந்த இலங்கை அதிபர் ராஜபக்சேவை கைது செய்ய வலியுறுத்தி சேலத்தில் நடிகர் விஜய் ரசிகர்கள் சங்கம் சார்பில் உண்ணாவிரத போராட்டம் நடைபெற்றது.

இலங்கையில் நடைபெற்ற போரில், அப்பாவி ஈழத் தமிழர்களை இரக்கமே இல்லாமல் சிங்கள ராணுவம் கொன்று குவித்தது. இதுபற்றி விசாரணை நடத்திய ஐ.நா.சபையின் விசாரணைக்குழு இலங்கை போரில் போர்விதிகளை கடைபிடிக்காமல் போர்க்குற்றம் புரியப்பட்டு உள்ளதாக அறிக்கை அளித்தது.

Vijay fans protest against Sri Lanka president.

Actor Vijay’s fans held protest demonstration in Salem demanding the arrest of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse for the ‘war crimes’ he had allegedly committed during the all-out offensive launched by the Lankan government against LTTE. In the name of ‘offensive’, what Rajapakse indulged in was nothing but ‘genocide’ of Lankan Tamils, the fans said.

The Lankan president has been accused of committing war crimes against Tamils by U.N. and the international community; he should be arrested at once and his trial should take place in the International Court of Justice,” the fans raised slogans against the Lankan president.

The protest march was led by Parthiban, head of Vijay Fans’ Club in Salem District. Fans numbering more than 500 participated in the protest. After raising slogans, the fans dispersed, announcing promptly that the next level of protest would be planned in a ‘grand’ and large scale.

Grand intro for Vijay in ‘Velayudham!’

Here are more interesting and never-revealed-before facts coming your way from ‘Velayudham’ as we promised last week. Vijay is helming the project with Genelia and Hansika Motwani as his heroines. Like all his other films this film too introduces the hero with a song.


The song, sources from the team reveal, has been made at a whooping budget of 2 crores. The song has been filmed from Thirumoorthi Hills. Dance choreographer Ashokraj, who choreographed intro songs for Vijay in ‘Sivakasi’ and ‘Pokkiri,’ has choreographed this song too. The song spans the typical art forms of villages in Tamil Nadu like Mayilattam, Uyilattam, Kollattam and the likes with more than 200 performances performing unanimously.


The intro song also features around 150 international dancers performing international art forms. There are also models from Mumbai shaking a leg and Russian artists performing for this song. Vijay Antony is the music director of this film, and he has hit five tracks for this film’s album. A couple of songs have been filmed abroad. There are reports that ‘Velayudham’s music might hit stands on May 14th.


Almost eighty percent of the filming is complete with one song and the climax scene yet to be shot, say sources close to the director. The film also has around six stunt scenes were sparks are sure to fly. In all, ‘Velayudham’ seems like one masala film with all the right ingredients in the right proportion for a huge hit.
