Vijay to share the dais with JJ?

Puratchi Iyakkunar S.A. Chandrashekaran is back doing what he’s best at — making a movie with a revolutionary theme.

This one is titled Sattapadi Kuttram and features politically and socially conscious actors Sathyaraj and Seeman. The film is being released at a time when speculation is rife about the entry of Vijay and SAC into politics.

Apparently, SAC met AIADMK supremo J. Jayalalithaa thrice in the last few months.

According to insiders, the movie comments on the contemporary political situation in the state and the filmmaker’s scorching dialogues are already the subject of much discussion in the industry. There are also dialogues hailing JJ.

For instance, the one currently doing the rounds is when a particular character says, — Inimey Unga vazhkai Jay Jay than (Hereafter your life will be great), which is symbolic of the father-son duo’s leaning towards the AIADMK.

Another bit of hot news: SAC has planned to launch the audio in a grand way and sources indicate he is contemplating inviting the former CM to release it.

Buzz is that if JJ agrees to come, then the first set of CDs will be received by Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and director Shankar along with SAC.

Though some feel that Shankar may have a few misgivings about attending the function, a close aide of the filmmaker disagrees. He reveals that Shankar sir will not hesitate to come as he has his own personal score to settle.

It seems the director hasn’t forgotten how he faced the wrath of the ruling powers when his film Mudhalvan was released a decade ago.

With elections around the corner, Vijay sharing the stage with JJ will probably be used for propaganda by the AIADMK, the source adds. SAC still has Plan B ready if JJ declines.

This plan is to hold a simple function with Vijay, Shankar, Satyaraj and others at Kamala Theatre, the lucky charm of the Pokkiri star.
