No more problems for Vijay!

Vijay’s Kavalan will be released as planned with the High Court coming to its aid. Gokulam Chits filed a petition at the High Court stating that the producer of the Malayalam version of Kavalan, Bodyguard, borrowed 3.50 crores from them to finance the film and handed over the rights to screen the film in any language. But they have not kept the word and remade the film in Tamil without settling the dues amounting to 1.88 crores.

This case came up for hearing before the High Court when the petitioner stated about his losses. In reply to this, the court ordered Kavalan’s producer to deposit the amount in a nationalized bank and release the film to safeguard the interests of Gokulam Chits. As the
producer agreed to do it, the court did not stay the release of Kavalan.
