Sun bags Kavalan

Looks like Sun Pictures has bagged the rights of Kavalan. There were reports just a few days ago that Jaya TV may procure the rights following SA Chandrasekar’s meeting with the AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa.

But the film’s distributor Shakthi Chidambaram has now revealed that he had sold the satellite rights of this Vijay-starrer to Sun Pictures.

Despite the satellite rights sbeing sold, there is still no news about Kavalan’s release. Though the filmmakers have said that it would be out for Pongal 2011 there is no sign of it happening till now.
