Director Shankar had plans to shoot a major portion of Nanban, the remake of 3 Idiots, in Dehra Dun and made all the necessary arrangements a couple of months ago.But things could not proceed as planned as there was some confusion over the finalizing of the lead star.
Finally, Shankar began the shooting of Nanban in Ooty with Jiiva and Srikanth and this went on for nearly a month or so.
The latest on Nanban is that with Vijay due to join the unit shortly, plans are on to shoot the film in Dehra Dun as planned. Looks like Shankar’s wish is finally going to come true!
