Vijay's career graph goes up as he changes!

If you want to succeed, you have to fail. And fail a lot!

Sounds counter-intuitive huh? But it is one of the lessons learnt from failure.

The above lesson is so apt for actor Vijay who recently enjoyed a success after facing string of failures, to be precise five of his releases before Kaavalan did poor at the box office.

And what's now?

Gemini Film Circuit’s and/or Director Shankar’s “3 Idiots” remake in Tamil tentatively titled as “Nanban” has come out with the official announcement of Vijay donning the lead role of the main idiot(nanban) out of the three idiots(nanbans).

Director Shankar's sentiment of naming his films ending with a 'N' is ensured for the Nth time with "Nanban". That is not our moot point as of now.

So, Vijay’s next film for sure is “Nanban” with Shankar, one of the very reliable and much sought after director in India, after his Velayutham shooting is wrapped up in couple of months.

Vijay will be taking part in the shooting of "Nanban" from February while also dubbing for Velayutham which is almost in its post production stage.

Already director Seeman, who is also a firebrand politician, has narrated and completed the script of "Pagalavan" to be made with Vijay.

Meanwhile, the actor had also nodded for an Ameer film. The Paruthiveeran director narrated the story of "Kannabiran" to him a while ago which Vijay liked and gave his consent to offer his call sheet.

And if the following rumor comes true it is really a good begining for Vijay.

Ace director Maniratnam, who has introduced and maintains multi starrer film culture in tamil movies, has finalized the cast for his new film based on Popular epic “Ponniyin Selvan”. The buzz is that, Maniratnam has opted for Vijay (supposed to be be played by Surya) along with Vikram and Vishal(V3!) for the three characters of the epic film.

As of late, Ilayathalapathy, as he is called by his fans, has started choosing good directors like Shankar and Ameer who can give him the right impetus to portray him as a powerful hero instead of typical commercial mass formulae hero.

Now, we can expect Vijay in a completely new dimension – a new side to his acting skills which have become more matured of late.
