Vijay's first political move?

Actor Vijay organised a public meeting in Nagapattinam to protest against the attack on Indian fishermen by the Sri Lankan Navy. The gathering, touted to be Vijay's warming up exercise to enter politics, witnessed some high drama. There was a huge crowd gathered in front of the stage, where Vijay was supposed to make his speech. Just when Vijay entered, the crowd went berserk and tried to move closer to the stage. In the melee, Vijay's microphone wire was snapped, which irritated the actor, and he chose to walk out. Later his fans pacified him and brought him back on stage, where he gave a speech. Vijay requested all Tamils to send telegrams to the Prime Minister and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, urging them to end the fishermen's crisis.
