If rumours are to be believed, actress Anushka Sharma better known as Anushka, the latest glamour sensation of both tollywood and kollywood , will be seen playing the female lead in ace director Mani Ratnam's next directorial venture 'Ponniyin Selvan', a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.
If this is true, she is pairing up with actor Vijay for the second time after 'Vettaikaran'.
It is heard that Mani Ratnam approached her with the script and Anushka nodded to appear in the film in no time. Based on the historical novel ''Ponniyin Selvan' written by Kalki Krishnamurthy, the film already boasts of a stellar cast comprising of Mahesh Babu, Vijay and Arya.
Interestingly, the films Anushka previously paired with both Mahesh Babbu and Vijay bombed at the box office and the heroine wants to erase those memories with the new chances.
Informed sources close to the actress say that right now Anushka is busy with two projects in Telugu and she needs to work on her dates to accommodate the project.
If the market buzz is to be believed, then, Yuvan Shankar Raja is most likely to score music for it while Santhosh Sivan and Sabu cyril are roped in to handle camera and art direction respectively.
